The Irvine Park Railroad Christmas Train carries families through the lights of historic Irvine Regional Park straight to the North Pole, where Santa is waiting. It is a classic Orange County tradition that turns a simple train ride into a full evening of festive memories.

Kids can climb aboard, watch the park glow outside the windows, and meet Santa at the end of the line. The station area is dressed up for the season, and a full-service snack bar serves hot and cold treats for anyone who needs a cozy pick-me-up before or after the ride.

Tickets are sold online only, and time slots can fill quickly, so it pays to plan ahead. Each ticket covers the train ride and the visit with Santa, and little ones under 24 months ride free without a ticket. Parents who want a keepsake can pay for a photo with Santa or snap their own pictures with their phones and cameras.

All ages are welcome. Children under 24 months ride free and do not need a ticket. Everyone else needs a ticket to ride and visit Santa.

🎟️ Tickets/Price

Paid. Tickets are sold online only and go on sale Monday, November 2, 2026 at 10:00 AM. Up to 8 tickets can be purchased per transaction.

10:00 AM to 3:00 PM departures: $22 per ticket.

4:00 PM and 7:00 PM departures: $32 per ticket.

5:00 PM and 6:00 PM departures: $37 per ticket.

8:00 PM departures: $27 per ticket.

Online purchases include a $5.00 service fee per ticket. Photos with Santa are $15.00 per photo or $20.00 for a digital download.

A full-service snack bar at the train station serves hot and cold food and drinks.

🚙 Parking

Irvine Regional Park charges a per-vehicle entrance fee of $3.00 on weekdays, $5.00 on weekends, and $7.00 on holidays. Parking is free after 6:00 PM.
