Dana Point Turkey Trot 2026: Book the Room, Not Just the Race

About this event

The 49th annual Dana Point Turkey Trot is Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 26, 2026, at Dana Point Harbor. The 10K starts at 7 a.m., and 5K waves go off at 8:30, 9:30 and 10 a.m. There's also a Combo 15K and the Kids' 1-Mile Gobble Wobble. Pick up your packet Wednesday from noon to 6 p.m. or race morning from 6 to 11 a.m. at 25001 Dana Point Harbor Dr. Free shuttles run from Dana Hills High School starting at 5:30 a.m. Register on Race Roster. Make it a long weekend instead of a dawn drive. Laguna Cliffs Marriott, the official race hotel, has a room block for November 25 to 29, and nearby resorts have Thanksgiving offers. Arrive Wednesday, walk to the start, and spend the rest of the weekend whale watching, shopping the Lantern District and eating Thanksgiving dinner by the ocean. Stay Sunday night to beat the holiday traffic home.
