Description: Explore research-based strategies for developing students’ academic Spanish while strengthening biliteracy and sociocultural competence. Participants will explore the California CCSS en español, Spanish Language Development Standards, and integrated and designated Spanish Language Development (SLD). The session also highlights cross-linguistic connections, differentiated instruction, and assessment practices that support students’ linguistic development.
