Contemplative Spirituality

About this event

CONTEMPLATIVE SPIRITUALITY: DRAWING CLOSER TO GOD Join a handful of 5-6 Christ-seeking believers on the 2nd and 4th Saturday at 9am online via zoom. If you are looking to get closer to God or to feel the Spirit lead you, this is the meet-up for you! We spend the first 20 minutes in silent meditation... YES... 20 minutes. Often easier said than done. We focus on a word like "peace," "Healing," or simply "Jesus." The idea is to just spend time with our Lord. Not necessarily having a conversation or being in prayer, but just being in the presence of Jesus. Then we practice "Lectio Divina" which is reading a piece of scripture and really focusing on it to see what words the Spirit might be trying to connect you to. Discussion is always great since we the Spirit speaks to all of us differently. Then we spend time journaling so we can have record of what the Spirit might be speaking to us.

Such a great opportunity for discussion and spiritual conversation. Join us on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month at 9am on Zoom: Password: 493766
