If you're planning time outside, pack for summer. Orange County's offshore flow strengthens Friday and Saturday, bringing weak-to-moderate Santa Ana winds, with highs in the low and mid-80s Friday and the mid- to upper 80s over the weekend.
Humidity could fall into the teens in some valleys. Recent rain helped, but live fuel moisture is still between 65% and 80%. Red flag warnings cover parts of Los Angeles and Ventura counties.
- Saturday gusts: 25 to 40 mph in wind-prone areas
- Chance of 35 to 50 mph gusts Saturday: 10%

Heading to the coast? We suggest staying out of the water near rock jetties, where a west-to-northwest swell raises the risk of hazardous swimming and coastal flooding. A possible atmospheric river could follow, though meteorologist Rich Thompson said details are iffy.
